The Jewelry Store

Other Jewelers Buy From

The Van Scoy Quality

The Van Scoys have a passion for diamonds- that’s why diamonds are all we do. Our passion has made us the jewelry store that other jewelers buy from. We buy in bulk, directly from our trusted source in Israel, getting diamonds with better cut and better shine. Because we buy in bulk, we pass the savings on to you.

Chain store jewelers use mass production to complete their rings. Their products are assembled quickly and with less precision by people with less experience. Wayne Van Scoy began creating exceptional pieces over 40 years ago. Because it’s his life’s work, he takes pride in every piece he creates. His rings have become family heirlooms, and Van Scoy now proudly serves multiple generations of customers for life.

loose diamonds scattered

We’ve mounted 100’s of thousands of diamonds!
Why is the quality of the mount important?

ring setting graphic

Solder used to fill visible gaps and tighten the diamond in the setting. The solder flowed into the relief holes. The diamond was broken during normal wear as the solder came in contact with the tip of the diamond.

The diamond prongs are unevenly finished.

There are visible gaps and the bearing is unevenly cut – a sign of errors in workmanship. The diamond will loosen and may become lost during normal wear.

Too much metal was left at the top of each prong. The ring is sharp and uncomfortable to wear. Flashes of metal were not removed where the bearings were prepared.
